Verdi Baritone

Verdi was fond of a hearty baritone timbre, and wrote several operas which feature this voice-type as the lead character. While a singer of this repertoire should be able to sing lyrically, he must also have a sufficient amount of “bite” in his tone so that he can be heard over a large orchestra. Verdi baritone roles are known to be extremely difficult.
