AUDITIONS

Principal Artists

Nashville Opera does not routinely schedule individual auditions throughout the season. Our principal artist and mainstage auditions are typically held in New York in the fall. All inquiries must be made by regular mail. We do not accept or respond to inquiries or materials sent via e-mail, fax, or telephone.

Chorus

Nashville Opera holds chorus auditions annually at the end of the season, by appointment only. Dates are announced on this website in the spring. Auditions for the 2013-14 season have concluded.

Audition requirements:

•Be prepared to sing one memorized piece of classical music

(can be in English).

• Bring sheet music for the accompanist.

• Bring a recent photo and singing resume if you have one.

• Dress is professional.

• Arrive early to complete paperwork.

• Appointments are five minutes per singer.

Supernumeraries/Extras

Supernumeraries, non-singing roles, are occasionally available for productions. For more information please call the Nashville Opera at 615.832.5242.
