YLO is now FORTE!

What started out as dinner parties among friends before the opera has become Nashville’s most dynamic group of young professionals. Young Lovers of Opera is now FORTE: Young Professionals of Nashville Opera.  Forte will debut at Otello as a patron-driven social organization dedicated to increasing awareness of opera throughout Middle Tennessee and to increasing access to arts education in schools.  The group’s mission includes fostering transformative change in our community through the arts and ensuring succeeding generations have valuable access to music education in school.  Funds collected from membership dues will be used to provide assistance to music classrooms served by Nashville Opera’s annual OnTour production.  In addition, Forte members will select one deserving school in Middle Tennessee each year and underwrite the cost of their OnTour production the following season.  Dues start for as little as $20 annually.  Other benefits include discounts on multi-performance season tickets, membership listings in programs and Nashville Opera magazines (once per year), networking events featuring the city’s most influential leaders, free pre-show receptions, and invitations to four annual Pub Clubs during months between Nashville Opera productions.  Although there is no specific age requirement for membership, members tend to be between age 21 and 40.
